Got a LapisTrack link from a broker?

Here is what it shares, who sees it, when it stops, and how to stop it yourself. There is no app to install.

Who sees my location

The broker on your load, and the shipper they share the load with. The shipper’s view does not show your name or phone number.

When does it stop

By itself at delivery. After that, our server refuses any location from your phone. You can stop sooner whenever you like.

Do I have to share

No. You choose. Nothing is shared until you agree on the page, and we never text a driver first.

What is shared

If you agree, the page shares your phone’s location, the time, speed, heading and how accurate the location is. It also records status taps you choose to make, like “Leaving now”. Your name and phone number are collected only if you give them. Delivery photos are only what you choose to upload, and the location data is stripped out of the photo.

How it works on your phone

  • No app. You open the link in your phone’s browser.
  • It shares while the page is open. A browser cannot track in the background, so if you close the page, sharing pauses until you open it again.
  • Dock mode. While you wait parked at pickup or delivery, you can leave the page open on the charger. It records your arrival and how long you waited. Tap “Leaving now” when you are ready to go, still parked. That is a detention record you can send your own dispatcher.
  • Flip phone or no data? Call our toll-free line while parked, from the phone number on your load, and key in the load’s code and a ZIP code. It is approximate, about 10 miles. This starts once our toll-free number is set up.

How to stop

  • Close the page, or choose not to agree.
  • Reply STOP to any LapisTrack text. That ends all LapisTrack texts and tracking for your phone.

Reminders

Text reminders are optional and off unless you check the box. They go out only between 8 AM and 8 PM your local time, and they say “next time you’re parked”. Nothing needs a fast reply.

How long we keep it

Location points are kept 90 days. Load records are kept 12 months. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.

Dispatchers

Your broker forwards the link to you, and you forward it to your driver. The driver sees who will see the location, and decides.

  • Responda STOP a un mensaje de LapisTrack para detener los mensajes y el seguimiento.
  • La página comparte la ubicación solo mientras esté abierta.
