LapisTrack Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
This policy explains how Lead Hunter Consulting LLC, a Florida company that operates LapisTrack (“LapisTrack,” “we,” or “us”) handles information when a driver uses LapisTrack for a freight load or when a broker or shipper uses LapisTrack’s business service.
What we collect
For a load, we may collect the driver’s name, phone number if the driver supplies it through the texting opt-in process, carrier name, load reference, pickup and delivery details, location, location time, speed, heading, location accuracy, and driver-selected status updates. We may collect proof-of-delivery photos that a driver chooses to upload. We collect text messages sent to our toll-free number when they are used for a load, such as TRACK <load code>, a ZIP code, or “City, ST.”
We collect business-customer account and contact details, load records, login information, and support communications. We do not collect or store payment, bank, or other money data in LapisTrack.
Why we use it
We use this information to operate the service: to receive and record driver consent, show active-load progress, calculate estimated arrival times, confirm arrivals and delivery, provide the detention clock and proof-of-delivery features, respond to support requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Who can see it and our providers
The broker or shipper that created a load can see information for that load. A business customer can provide its own customer a limited load view or link. Those limited views do not show the driver’s name or phone number. Driver phone numbers are shown only to the broker or shipper owner account that created the load.
We use service providers under instructions to protect the information: Twilio for text messages; DigitalOcean for hosting; OpenStreetMap Foundation’s Nominatim to turn addresses and ZIP codes into map points; OpenFreeMap for map tiles that the phone or browser loads directly; and unpkg for map software. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect people, our rights, or the service.
Location and retention
Drivers choose whether to start location sharing. LapisTrack tracks only after consent and only until delivery or cancellation. It stops location sharing at delivery. A driver can stop it sooner, and replying STOP to a LapisTrack text stops all LapisTrack texts and tracking. Location pings are deleted 90 days after they are received. Load records (addresses, arrival and departure times, detention summary) and delivery photos are kept 12 months after the load ends for billing and disputes, then deleted. Location information inside photos is removed when they are uploaded.
Text messages
LapisTrack never sends the first text to a driver. A driver may opt in for a specific load by checking the optional text-reminder box on the LapisTrack consent screen after receiving a load link from their carrier or dispatcher, or by texting TRACK <load code> to the LapisTrack toll-free number. The driver controls the phone number used for either opt-in. After opt-in, LapisTrack may send only daytime location-update reminders for text-link drivers, replies to ZIP-code or “City, ST” check-ins, and one “Location sharing is now OFF” text at delivery or cancellation. Each consent screen and consent text states that the location goes to “<Broker company name> (and the shipper they share this load with).” STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT stop all LapisTrack texts and active-load tracking for that phone. HELP returns support information and opt-out instructions. Message and data rates may apply.
Your choices and deletion requests
Drivers may decline location consent, leave the optional text-reminder box unchecked, stop sharing, or reply STOP. Drivers and business customers may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@lapistrack.com. We will verify the request and respond as required by applicable law. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, or recordkeeping reasons.
No sale of personal data
LapisTrack does not sell personal data. We do not use driver location or other personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
LapisTrack is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
State privacy rights
Residents of certain states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing of personal information. To use any such right, email support@lapistrack.com. We will verify the request and respond as required by the law of your state.
